How to Choose Best Android Mobile?

In the Ocean of Android smart phones, there are numerous options for you to choose. Day by day new Android smart phones are released into the market. Mobile gargantuans like Samsung, HTC, Sony, LG etc are competing quite aggressively with each other in a wide range of mobile categories. There are surplus mobiles available in market that come with wide variety of pricing.

Many users get confused in how to choose best android mobile for them. So here is a guide that might help you in this regard.

The Basics:
Your mobile must meet certain basics in order to fulfill the simple tasks and accomplishments. The basic requirements that an android phone should have in order to sustain are:

1.     Battery: Battery backup should be number one priority for you. A decent mobile isn't decent without a better battery backup. So choose wisely how long is your new mobile's battery is going to sustain. Once fully charged a moderate use of social networking, few calls, messaging, emails and music/video for that would last for at least one complete day or little more  makes a decent battery with enough juice in it.

 2.     Performance: Your mobile should have enough gear to handle some tasks. There are many mobiles with decent configuration that will let you handle multi tasking quite decently. A note about configuration is worth mentioning. A dual core processor coming with 512 MB RAM is somewhat disappointing. So try to have a minimum of 1 GB RAM and in these days there are very few mobiles that come with single core processor. So go for a dual or quad depending on your personal choice and budget with a minimum of 1 GB RAM so that the performance of your mobile will be hassle free.

 3.     Memory: Since there are many advantages in having more internal memory, go for mobiles having better internal memory with a minimum of 4 GB or more. There are some heavy and useful apps that must be installed only on phone memory like Adobe flash player, Google hangouts etc. If the phone's internal memory is low, all these apps will occupy the available memory and will make your phone slow. Because there should be sufficient free space in your phone's memory for a better performance check whether your new mobile has sufficient memory or not. Also the latest upgrades in OS of Google Android requires much space in your phone.

These are the three golden basics your mobile must have before you get a new Android mobile for your pocket. The rest of the other options depend on personal choice and individual opinions may vary widely. Let us know other options which you can take a look in depth.

The Operating System:
The Android operating system is one of the fastest developing OS. The latest OS being 4.3 Jellybean (till date September 2013), new version KitKat is about to be released in this October. But select a mobile that can support the latest operating system without any lag. Since the latest versions are heavily customized and occupy high amounts of space, you have to be cautious in selecting the new mobile with higher OS. Select a mobile that has a minimum 4.0.4 (Ice cream Sandwich) OS and that can be upgradable in future.

Camera:
If you are a photographic maniac then the camera must impress you. There are several cameras that have higher pixels. But since the mega pixel myth is somewhat broken by HTC's ultra pixel camera there are some features that have to be considered while selecting the mobile with good camera.

  • The sensor: The image sensor plays a key role in capturing the pictures. Better image sensor size better is the quality of the images. Some mobiles with better image sensors are Sony Xperia Z1 and HTC One.
  • Dedicated Camera Chip: Though this feature is an addition or an option for few users, a dedicated image chip will help in capturing images quicker without shutter lag. It also helps in launching camera app quickly.
  • The aperture: The camera aperture is very much essential in allowing much light as possible to take better images. More the incoming light better the quality of the image.
  • Finally - Flash: Without a flash, there is very less use with camera. So go for cameras having flash.
Other features like burst mode, touch capture, red eye reduction, smile detection, HD video recording, 720p or 1020p recording, image capture while video recording etc are all almost available in mid ranged to top end mobiles. So choose wisely.based on your personal choice.

Screen Resolution:
People who use plenty of multimedia on their mobile must focus on this part. A good mobile with low screen resolution (eg: Samsung Galaxy Grand) are somewhat disappointing to video users. Also the resolution effects the viewing of images in gallery, web pages and photos you capture. The low screen resolution makes it difficult to watch your mobile in out doors, bright sunlight and direct sun light. Even at night the viewing angles and color reproduction is low if you have low screen resolution. You can't even see what you are capturing when you launch the camera in bright day.

A minimum resolution of 250 pixels per inch (ppi) or higher is advisable.

Type of Screen:
This option is highly user dependable. You can go for a Super AMOLED or Super LCD. This fairly depends on personal choice. The difference is that AMOLED will somewhat over saturate the colors and images appear extra bright. So have a look and choose according to your choice.

Size:
Size does matter for many users. People with short hands will find it difficult to operate the large sized mobiles with one hand. Many mobiles are now a days coming with a screen size with 4 inches or more. Select the mobile that fits appropriately in your hand and is easy to carry.

Expandable memory:
Mobiles having low internal memory must have an expandable memory slot through micro sd card. Some mobiles are providing high internal memory (16 GB or 32 GB) without any option for external memory slot. If you are a heavy user of music and video it is advisable to go for mobile having higher internal memory along with the option of external memory slot.

Finally - Price:
There are many mid ranged mobiles with decent features. You can not expect all superb features in a mobile with minimum budget. To get few features you have sacrifice a few. So keep in mind about your budget and know that you will get for what you pay.

So these are the minimum requirements that you have to go through before buying a new Android mobile. Check all the options and have a comparison with other mobiles. Look for what you need and does your mobile meet your demands.
